เทศกาลหนังสือกรุงเทพมหานคร ครั้งที่ 2
เทศกาลหนังสือกรุงเทพมหานคร ครั้งที่ 2 มีเนื้อหาว่าด้วยวรรณกรรมคลาสสิกและวรรณกรรมแปลจากต่างประเทศที่มีเนื้อหาเข้มข้น โดยสำนักพิมพ์อิสระที่มุ่งผลิตงานแปลจากภาษาต้นฉบับ อีกทั้งมุ่งนำเสนอความรู้เกี่ยวกับวรรณกรรมไทยร่วมสมัยและวงการหนังสือไทยในมิติที่หลากหลาย รวมถึงเปิดพื้นที่ให้ศิลปินผู้สร้างสรรค์หนังสือนิยายภาพทั้งไทยและต่างประเทศได้แลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลการทำงานและความคิดสร้างสรรค์ระหว่างกัน ผ่านรูปแบบกิจกรรมที่หลากหลาย ทั้งนิทรรศการ การเสวนา การอบรมเชิงปฏิบัติการ และการฉายภาพยนตร์ที่ดัดแปลงจากงานวรรณกรรม ณ หอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร (BACC)
The content of the second Bangkok Book Festival concerned classic literatures and rich literatures from other countries translated from the original languages by independent publishers. It also aimed at presenting contemporary Thai literature and Thai book circle in various dimensions. It also gave the forum for graphic novel artists in Thailand and abroad to exchange work information and creative ideas through a variety of activities: exhibitions, talks, workshops, and screenings of films adapted from literature at the Bangkok Art and Cultural Centre.

DREAM STORY
นิทรรศการจัดแสดงผลงานหนังสือนิยายภาพของยาค็อบ ฮินริชส์ (Jakob Hinrichs) ศิลปินผู้สร้างสรรค์หนังสือนิยายภาพชาวเยอรมัน เชี่ยวชาญด้านกราฟิกดีไซน์ และการ์ตูน ทั้งยังมีความสนใจพิเศษเกี่ยวกับงานศิลปะแนววัฒนธรรมประชานิยม ผลงานในนิทรรศการสร้างสรรค์จากวรรณกรรม 2 เรื่อง คือ Der Trinker (The Drinker) ของ Hans Fallada และ Traumnovelle (Dream Story) ของ Arthur Schnitzler
ปัจจุบัน ยาค็อบ ฮินริชส์ ยังคงทำงานเป็นกราฟิกดีไซเนอร์อิสระที่เบอร์ลิน มีผลงานในหนังสือพิมพ์และนิตยสารอย่างต่อเนื่อง เช่น The New York Times, BusinessWeek และ The Guardian
Exhibition of graphic novels by Jakob Hinrichs, a German graphic novel artist who specialized in graphic design and cartoon, and has a special interest in the art of popular culture. Exhibited were works from 2 pieces of literature: Der Trinker (The Drinker) by Hans Fallada, and Traumnovelle (Dream Story) by Arthur Schnitzler.
At present Jakob Hinrichs still works as an independent graphic designer in Berlin, producing prolific works for newspapers and magazines, such as The New York Times, BusinessWeek, and The Guardian.

หัวข้อการเสวนามุ่งเน้นนำเสนอเนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับวรรณกรรมอมตะทั้งไทยและต่างประเทศ ชวนพูดคุยเกี่ยวกับการแปลและการทำงานวรรณกรรมแปลที่แปลจากภาษาต้นฉบับเพื่อให้ผู้อ่านได้รับอรรถรสอย่างเต็มอิ่ม รวมถึงเปิดพื้นที่ร่วมเรียนรู้และทำความเข้าใจความเป็นไปของนักเขียนไทยและการดำเนินการเรื่องลิขสิทธิ์ในงานวรรณกรรม ตลอดระยะเวลา 3 วัน ประกอบด้วยการเสวนา 12 หัวข้อ ดังนี้
The talk topics focused on presenting contents related to Thai and foreign classic literatures and working on literatures translated from their original languages so that the readers can fully appreciate them. The talks also served as a forum for collaborative learning, and understanding of Thai writers’ scenes and trends and procedures in obtaining rights in literature. Throughout the period of 3 days, the 12 talk topics were as follows:

Workshop on drawing for narration by Jakob Hinrichs, a German graphic novel artist. Participants studied literary interpretation prior to creating scenes and other elements, in order to create images communicated in the form of a graphic novel.
